Though the front fog lights integrated into the sporty front bumpers do not provide better visibility in poor weather conditions, it adds a striking look to the Polo. Just above the bumpers is the chrome trimmed lines with the Volkswagen logo at the center. Curved body coloured door handles and integrated rear spoiler with brake lights add to the beauty of the car. The new Polo is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options each having three variants namely Trendline which is the base version, Comfortline the middle version and the Highline top version.
The petrol model is a 1.2L (1198cc) 3-cyilnder inline engine with max power of 77PS @ 5400rpm and max torque of 110Nm @ 3750rpm combined with a 5-speed manual transmission delivering a fuel efficiency of 16.47 kmpl (ARAI certified). While the diesel model is a 1.2L (1199cc) 3-cyilnder inline engine with max power of 75PS @ 4200rpm and max torque of 180Nm @ 2000rpm combined with a 5- speed manual transmission delivering a fuel efficiency of 22.07 kmpl(ARAI certified).
Both the models come with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear and have a minimum turning radius of 4.97mm. Polo has McPherson strut with stabilser bar for front suspension and semi independent trailing arm at the rear. The new Polo has a fuel tank capacity of 45L and is offered in six colour options of candy white, flash red, glacier blue, reflex silver, pepper grey and deep black.
