Porsche has introduced Cayman S in India. The new Cayman S is lower, longer, lighter, faster, and more powerful and fuel efficient. It is a rear wheel drive sports car which is based on the Porsche’s mixed aluminium-steel construction.
Cayman S is powered by a 3.4Litre flat-six engine with a power of 329PS and 370Nm torque which can reach 0-100Kmph in 4.9 seconds and claims a top speed of 280+Kmph.
The basic design is unchanged with some add-on including a day time running light and minor cosmetic changes. The interiors of Cayman S comes with a new dual tone leather packages, high end Burmester sound system and other additional options.
During the launch, Director of Porsche India said: "Ever since its international debut, the Cayman has been applauded for its excellent handling and performance. In fact, along with the Boxster, the model won the coveted 2013 World Performance Car award this March. It is built for driving through bends like few other sports cars and offers an outstanding sports car experience combined with the practicality of everyday driving.”
The Porsche Cayman S is priced at INR 93.99 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Porsche has a network of seven dealers at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
