Rolls – Royce has launched the Wraith in the Indian market, which will be their most powerful and fastest car ever. According Rolls – Royce, Wraith is a combination of luxury, power and legacy.
Wraith is a coupe which is based on the Rolls – Royce Ghost and comes with a 6.6 Litre V12 engine with a power of 625PS and torque of 800Nm. This engine is synchronized with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Wraith is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in just 4.4 seconds. In terms of dimensions of Wraith is smaller than the Ghost.
Rolls – Royce Wraith has a stiffened suspension to minimize body roll and is engineered in such a way to ensure that the driver gets a better sense of feedback while cornering.
According to a company official, “While the Wraith does push the brand in a new direction, evolving it in a way that we hope will attract new, perhaps younger customers, it is still a Rolls – Royce, and the ‘bed of air’ ride our customer expect is still uppermost in the cars DNA”.
On the technology side Wraith comes with a satellite aided transmission, which uses GPS mapping data and driving style measurements to ensure that the correct gear is pre-selected for the road ahead by the 8-speed ZF gear box.
Leather interiors can be configured according to the customer needs like every Rolls – Royce cars on sale. It comes with frameless doors with buttons at the base so that the passengers don’t have to reach out to close the door.
Rolls – Royce Wraith is priced at INR 4.6 Crores (Ex-showroom New Delhi).
