Tata motors inaugurated its Commercial Vehicle Driving Centre in Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh. This Driving Centre is a partnership between Tata Motors and Urjanchal driving school. This Driving Centre was inaugurated by Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, with senior officials from Tata Motors.
This driving centre aims at imparting driver knowledge through “Defensive Driving” techniques for aspiring and existing commercial vehicle drivers. Tata Motors will support the course through designing the course, technical assistance, know-how and guidance. While a reputed national NGO, Pratham Institute has been roped in as the implementation partner.
The training centre is equipped with class rooms with latest Audio-Video methodology and practical sessions and a testing track. The classes will be conducted in two modules, one for light commercial vehicle and other for heavy commercial vehicle which can accommodate 25 persons in each module. The course also contains basic vehicle maintenance, first aid training, financial literacy, health, soft skills and yoga. Company has already opened eight such training centres.
Requirement of trained commercial vehicle drivers made Tata Motors to take such a move. In Singrauli this driving centre is a partnership between Tata Motors and Urjanchal Driving School. Tata Motors is aimed at training two lakhs youth by 2021 through these training centres.
