Yamaha Motor India has launched Ray Z in the Indian market with its concept of “Aggressive Sport Design”. Basically it is based on Ray scooter which was Yamaha’s first scooter in the Indian market launched in 2012 which achieved a market share of 16 percent from zero and also company’s sales graph by 22 percent.
Ray Z is really sport with a smoked finish visor, aluminium rear wing-shaped tandem rider grab bars, a new instrument panel with a carbon fiber patterned background, a carbon fiber patterned seat cover material, dynamic coloring and graphics. The engine is the same as in Ray with an air cooled 4-stroke 113cc engine with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). The Yamaha Ray Z is launched at INR 48,555 (Ex-showroom New Delhi).
Mr.Hiroyuki Yanagi, President and CEO, Yamaha Motor Co., Japan was present at the launch occasion where he announced and explained the new Yamaha brand slogan “Revs your Heart”. Yamaha’s new brand statement “Empowered by a passion for innovation, we create exceptional value and experiences that enrich the lives of our customers.” defines the commitment behind this new slogan.
Mr. Yanagi explained the concept and said, “With this new brand slogan and brand statement as a guide, the entire Yamaha Motor Group will work together to make advancements in craftsmanship and marketing that are uniquely Yamaha, and provide Kando (simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement) that exceeds the expectations of our customers across the globe.”
Yamaha also introduced two new model variations in the Yamaha SZ sport model series named the “SZ-RR” and “SZ-S”. These variants are also defined by Yamaha’s sporty and premium styling. These bikes are priced at INR 59,500 for SZ-S and INR 62,500 for SZ-RR (prices are Ex-showroom New Delhi)
