Fiat India is keen on increasing its market share with the introduction of new models this year and increasing the number of exclusive Fiat dealership across India. The company is planning to launch Punto Abarth, Wrangler and Cherokee Jeep models this year in the country.
The good news was revealed by Fiat India Managing Director Enrico Atanasio at Cochin while inaugurating an exclusive Fiat dealership here. He also said that Fiat aims to a place a wide dealer network of above 100 by the year end and discussions for the same are on.
The company is confident in increasing market share with the introduction of new models from 0.5 per cent to 1 per cent by the end of this year. Punto Abarth will be manufactured at Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra in both petrol and diesel versions, while the Wrangler and Cherokee Jeep models would be imported to the country. Currently, Fiat sells Linea and Punto models in India.
