Force Traveller 26: The big traveller launched from INR 10.8 lakhs onwards

Force Motors displayed the prototype version of their biggest vehicle - Traveller 26 during the International Auto Expo at New Delhi on January 2012 and following this, they launched the Traveller 26 on 16th October 2012 in Pune with a price tag of INR 10,87,600

 
 
Before some decades, Traveller was launched as Tempo Traveller and since then, it was a great success with its simplicity in design and technical marvel, thanks to the Mercedes design. Bajaj introduced this vehicle to the Indian market. 
 
 
The design was unchanged until 2008, when small changes were made keeping the simplicity in it. Traveller was a multipurpose vehicle, used as ambulance, school van, cargo van etc.
 
 
Traveller 26 is the biggest monocoque van in the world with its body from pressed steel panels with outstanding structural strength and unmatched durability. Traveller 26 comes with a 2x2 seating convenience. 
 
 
This is really a larger, wider and bigger Traveller. The old Traveller had split doors at the rear which was closed and been made just like the rear of a bus without any doors. The glass at the rear is an emergency exit. Below that a luggage compartment has been designed for more convenience and another reason is that due to the air conditioner blogger, luggage rack has been avoided inside.
 
 
Traveller 26 comes with a TD2200I engine with 4 cylinder, 16 valves, inline, CRDI, VGT, diesel engine with dual mass fly wheel with a displacement of 2149cc which can produce maximum power of 129ps @ 3800rpm and torque of 295Nm @ 1600-2400rpm. This engine is mated with the most advanced G-32, 5 speed Mercedes licensed synchromesh gear box for low friction, long life and smooth transmission. Clutch is specially designed for frequent start stop operation which is dry friction, single plate and hydraulically actuated.
 
 
Semielliptic leaf springs with hydraulic telescopic with antiroll bar suspension is provided in the front and rear. Dual circuit, hydraulic vacuum assisted ventilated disc brakes are provided at the front and rear. Traveller 26 is fitted with two tyres at the front and four tyres at the rear with radial 215/75 R 15 tyres. 
 
 
Power steering is provided in the vehicle which can steer the vehicle to a magnificent turning radius of 7 meters. The price for Traveller 26 ranges from INR 1087600 for the base model with a seating capacity of 26+D to INR 1363340(All prices are ex-showroom New Delhi) for the top end model school bus with a seating capacity of 38+D which has AC and power steering.
