The shocking news of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan’s death shook Bollywood Tuesday morning. She committed suicide by hanging herself in her residence in Juhu, Mumbai.
25 year old actress was staying with her mother Rabiya Khan, who was also an actress and sister in 'Sagar Sangeet' residence in Juhu. She committed suicide at around 11 pm when her mother and sister were not present.
According to reports, it is said that before she hung herself, she had made calls to her boyfriend, Suraj Pancholi, son of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. They were in relationship from past one year. It was said that she was under depression as she doubted about her boyfriend’s new love interest. Her last call was made 10.53 pm which had lasted for two minutes.
On the other hand, it is also said that she was very upset with her sinking career in Bollywood. She even told her mother that she wanted to take up interior designing. Her mother even said that she had been for an audition to Hyderabad which did not go well.
She debuted in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial romantic thriller Nishabd, opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Ram Gopal Varma was shocked with the news and he took to Twitter, "No matter what her problem was I just so wish she applied her on-screen philosophy of Nishabd to her own life. Shocked and choked to hear about Jiah."
The dusky beauty, Jiah was later seen in Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan and Housefull. But after that she was missing from silver screen.
Jiah Khan, born as Nafisa Khan was daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, an Indian American, and Rabiya Amin, a Hindi film actress. She was bought up in London, and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. She also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Manhattan.
