HP Elite Pad 900 launched at INR 43,500


Hewlett Packard (HP) entered into Indian tablet market launching their flagship device HP ElitePad 900. This Elite pad is available in the Indian market with a starting price starts of INR 43,500. The Elite Pad is designed for businesses and government use, however  it is also available to general customers.

 

The Elite Pad 900 is ultra-thin and lightweight, it weighs 0.63 kg and is 9.2 mm thick . The Elite Pad 900 comes with a 10.1  inch display with 1280 x800 pixel resolution. The Elite pad supports touch, voice and pen based inputs.
 
 
The Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system is used in this device while a 1.8GHz Intel Atom dual core processor and 2 GB RAM powers the device. This tablet is available in 2 different variants based on its memory capacity – 32 GB and 64 GB are the two available variants.
 
 
The tablet comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p front facing camera. The executive pen allows the user to write on the screen which can be saved as it is or can be converted into typed text to use in other applications -  the pen costs INR 3,499. The integrated battery pack is also available at INR 6,999.
 
 
The ElitePad docking station comes with a keyboard and monitor which brings desktop like experience to users. The dock can charge the tablet and provide additional screen for users to multitask. Dock is available at INR 9,999.
 
 
The  Elite Pad can be converted in to a laptop by adding a productivity jacket which contains an integrated keyboard, connectivity ports, SD card reader and adjustable viewing angles.The Elite Pad 900 supports optical drives and microSD cards. For better sound enhancement this device is integrated with SRS audio technology. It also comes with digital dual array microphones for clear voice during video call.
 
 
The software and apps included in this tablet are HP Wireless Hotspot, HP ePrint, Cyberlink YouCam and Cyberlink MediaSuite, LANDesk Management Suite, HP PageLift, Evernote and Skitch. The Enterprise features are Security Manager, Credential Manager, Password Manager and Device Access Manager (with just in time authentication). The other features include Computrace, Sparekey, Drive Encryption and HP BIOS settings.
