L&T to buyout Komatsu’s stake in JV

L&T (Larsen and Toubro), India’s biggest engineering company is planning to buy out Komatsu’s 50 percent stake in the joint venture L&T Komatsu Ltd, it said in a statement on Saturday.

After the stake transaction, company will be the fully owned subsidiary of L&T.
L&T Komatsu is a joint venture of L&T and Komatsu Ltd, Japan having equal equity participation (50%) which manufactures construction equipments and hydraulic components.
However financial details of the deal has not been disclosed.
