Shallow earthquake kills 75 in China

Beijing, July 22: The shallow earthquakes that struck China's north western region killed at least 75 people, the country's government news agency reported. Meanwhile, another 460 people have been injured in the quake.

 
The twin earthquakes of 6.6 and 5.6 magnitudes hit a dry hilly land near the city of Dingxi in Gansu province on early Monday. Gansu provincial earthquake administration said the shallow tremor struck just 6 km beneath the surface of earth.
