Ten killed in blasts near Indian consulate in Afghanistan

Kabul, Aug 3: Ten people have been killed in an explosion near the Indian consulate in eastern Afghanistan's Jalalabad. Another 20 persons also have been inured in the blast. All Indian officials working in the consulate are safe, the Ministry of External Affairs informed. 
The dead include women and children who were visiting a mosque near by the Indian consulate. The explosion, which is suspected to be a suicide blast, occurred around 10 am near the entrance of the Indian consulate. Meanwhile, the blast has caused damages to the building. 
Security forces have taken control and remain vigilant in the area. Reportedly, there were intelligence inputs about of a possible attack on the Indian consulate earlier.
