Union budget 2013: No review of Income Tax - Major Highlights

New Delhi, Feb 28: Finance Minsiter P Chidambaram is presenting one of the most anticipated budgets - Union Budget 2013 in the Lok Sabha. Favouring the middle class, the budget has not reviewed Income tax slabs for this year for incomes up to Rs 5 Lakh. However, the FM has decided to tax the super rich with income exceeding Rs 1 crore a year by making them pay a surcharge of 10%. Meanwhile, Sensex fell around 75 points as FM raised corporate, individual taxes (surcharge). Follow Indian Rays for live updates.
