Virat Kohli to captain RCB in IPL 6

Bangalore, Feb 20: Indian cricket team vice captain and middle order batsman Virat Kohli will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming series (sixth edition) of the Indian Premier League (IPL). “Glad to be appointed Captain of RCB! It’s a great feeling… Being drafted as an u-19 in 2008 and now to be considered to lead the side of great Players, is a big honor.. I thank the owners for reposing their faith and I am looking forward to the challenge and the responsibility to carry the Team to greater heights,” a happy Kohli wrote in the RCB website.
Kohli has a very good track record in IPL with 1639 runs from 77 matches at an average of 28.25. He owns the record of being the 11th successful batsman in IPL and third in Champions League Twenty 20.
