Google shuts down music search service

Google has unplugged its music search service; now the Google music site is redirecting users to Google India search page. The shutdown of this service was first reported by NextBigWhat.

Google had launched this service in October 2010 which allowed users to search for songs by artist, movie, album or song title. It also allowed users to listen the song online.

Google had claimed that they have a database of thousands of songs owned or licensed by partners thus allowing users to select their favorite song. Google Music India offered a single destination for users to can go and search for their favorite song and stream it without depending on any specific service.
