Vivo X 50 Pro Reviews

The new Vivo X 50 Pro design and display has been the best for this handset. No one believed that Vivo could make a good looking phone for the year. The glass sandwich design has been the trademark for most smartphones, but doesn’t mean they are same. Vivo has gone for a satin-soft finish on frosted glass back. The benefit of satin-soft finish is that it doesn’t surface any fingerprint nor it smudges easily.

Photographs have not done justice in this phone. The two step camera module is on the larger side because of the nature of the assembly yet it is slim and elegant. The light weight of 181 gms of the phone is the best feature of this smartphone.

The frame of the phone is made of aluminium with power and volume keys on the right hand side. The fit and finish of the phone is high class. There is a standard USB-C port on the bottom edge nest to the speakerphone grille. However there is no headphone jack here.

The 6.5 inch full HD+OLED display has slim grooves on the sides and a hole for the front facing camera. The 90 Hz panel ensures smooth and nice navigation. The X50 Pro Scott’s tempered glass to protect against scratch and drops. The display on this smartphone is an excellent HDR10+ capable panel that switches between the profiles that we select. Colour accuracy is decent, but the panel is inclined to lighter tones. This can be corrected using toggle switches in the settings menu.

The hardware is brilliant on Vivo X50. The phone has some premium look with excellent display. The sole complain for this phone is the IP ratings, which is omitted at the price point. The Vivo X50 is processed by Snapdragon 765G chipset. The argument primarily lies in the processor, unless you spend time in gaming, the performance advantage is lost for most users.

The Vivo X50 pro can handle any game you give. The Funtouch OS is perfect on the phone and the company did amazing work to team the hardware with the software. Owing to large battery capacity and minimal chipset, the battery life is is exceptional. There are many customization option from themes to icons, on display and more. The phone no doubt has toned down to Funtouch OS, but still it is not ideal user experience. The OS helps you in making the phone your own. The usefulness of the phone is reduced as all can’t be removed at all. When integrated global search, the utility reduces as the content and the search suggestions don’t have any relevance that you might be actually searching on phone.

The primary sensor is 48 MP Sony IMX 598 that shoots great shots outdoors. It’s sharp and noise levels are under control. The price is 49990 Rs and it is on the customers whether they will buy based on the advantages of the phone.
